Background of the Study
Human rights are fundamental rights that every individual is entitled to, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or nationality. In Nigeria, there has been an increasing need to raise awareness about human rights, especially in rural areas where access to information may be limited. Print media, including newspapers and magazines, has played a significant role in disseminating information on human rights issues, helping to educate citizens about their rights and the mechanisms available to protect them. In Donga Local Government Area (LGA) of Taraba State, print media has been a key tool in promoting human rights awareness. This study seeks to examine the effectiveness of print media in promoting human rights awareness among residents of Donga.
